Biography
Felix Haas is a dedicated and experienced independent consultant and researcher based in Myanmar. Felix has a deep understanding and extensive expertise working with public and private sector entities in Asia – at times likewise in the academic and think tank space.
He has spent the last number of years focused on a myriad of issues that range from industrial policy advice to Naypyitaw, political risk analyses and international relations in Asia to hands-on tasks of government affairs handling and market entry consulting for businesses of various industries.
Throughout his extensive career, Felix has called Southeast Asia and Europe home. He has built a substantial network and cross-sectoral macro-level understanding of current developments, particularly within Asia’s emerging economies, and he has spent years supporting or representing a number of different companies within Asia.
In addition, his expertise includes working with international governments on specific public sector areas of economic governance. These areas can include anything from trade policy to digitization support, and even business climate reform. Hereby, Felix has frequently worked within the United Nations system, with other donors and development partners ranging from e.g. GIZ to the World Bank.
Today, Felix is focused on his newest venture, Progress Asia Consulting, where he serves as Managing Director. At Progress Asia Consulting, Felix offers a wide range of consulting services for his clients within the public and private sector to take advantage of.
Felix and a team of technical subject matter experts leverage their experience, knowledge, and training to ensure that their clients have the resources they need to succeed in all of their business ventures within Asia. Progress Asia Consulting is an active member of several chambers of commerce and associations along with leading policy platforms.
